The Bamboo Cutter and The Moon Child will be the next publication from the Cordes Press and follows the story, trials of life but mostly the ardour of men seeking a beautfiul woman and the ways of the Gods and humans. It is one, if not Jthe oldest folktale to come out of Japan in the 7th to 9th century although with probable Chinese origins.

This edition will be based upon the 1903 version translated by Yei Theordora Ozaki and has been edited and a more heartfelt ending than is usual in Japanese folktales.
